Gary Schweitzer is a Registered Massage Therapist who has been practising since 1993, and has taught 4200 Massage Therapists at the post graduate level in Canada, the United States and Europe.
Gary completed his Massage Therapy training at the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in 1993. He began his career in Vancouver and relocated his practice to Kelowna in 2007, where Deepwerks Massage Therapy Clinic has been based since.
His practice focuses on muscle tissue that is chronically tight, contracted, and painful — the kind of tension that doesn't resolve with rest or lighter treatment. The approach is sustained, measured pressure, applied with attention to the patient's response.
Treatment plans and outcomes vary between patients. An initial assessment determines whether massage therapy is appropriate for your situation, and what kind of treatment plan makes sense.
We start with a written intake and a conversation about what's brought you in, your medical history, and what you're hoping treatment can help with.
Postural and movement assessment, plus palpation of the areas you've identified, to understand which structures are involved.
Hands-on deep tissue treatment, with pressure adjusted in conversation with you. We discuss home care and next steps before you leave.
Direct billing is not offered. Payment is collected at the time of your appointment, and a receipt is issued for you to submit to your extended health provider.
A minimum of 24 hours' notice is required to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Late cancellations and missed appointments are charged the full session fee.
Free 3-hour parking is available around the perimeter of Landmark One at 1726 Dolphin Avenue.
New patients are welcome. No physician referral is required to book a massage therapy appointment in BC. Most extended health insurance plans include coverage for treatment by a Registered Massage Therapist — check with your provider for details specific to your plan.
